Na batteries already have comparable energy densities to LFP batteries. Put into perspective, they're currently higher in Wh/kg than the batteries in a Tesla Model 3 (150 Wh/kg), and is still early days for Na.
Solid state, like you said, is also another technology to keep an eye out, being safer and higher density again than the batteries we have available today. There are sodium solid state batteries as well as lithium. But just like a lot of emerging technologies, it's quite expensive at the moment for mass scale.
