it may be a case of shutting down international share trading so that the Chinese aren't able to play economic sabotage on their competitors via the markets. Imagine if Australians were the only entities able to buy shares in Australian stocks...rather than allowing the potential of foreign influence and shorting that may be used as a weapon to bring down competitors....???... just some thoughts...
