Agree with this assertion. I have a friend who lives in Japan and nowadays witnesses many prominent electronic companies died due to influx of LG, Samsung and also Chinese product (due to value of money) that shift their consumer spending and hit the old players.
An article highlights on why this happen, mainly due to three factors:
a) Harmony culture Error- It takes too long to make decision making, product development and launching. In this digital era- speed is the key
b)Seniority error- this kills the innovation as young innovative employee will likely be disregarded due to seniority
c) Old nation error- Japan now is an old nation that are too comfort or attached with past glory and restricted to change
I am not surprised, at the end of the day, Korean and Chinese manufactures will dominate the future vehicle industry, whilst European is too busy with their own other domestic affair that delay their focus to join this race.
All in my own opinion. Time will tell
