    You are absolutely incorrect. Most of China's spodumene feedstock comes from Australia, not Africa or domestic mines.

    While African exports and Chinese domestic production do play a role in the current oversupply, they are not the sole contributors. The central issue is that global lithium production is outpacing demand, with the surplus being fuelled by various sources, including those beyond Africa and China, such as Argentina, Chile, and Australia. Projects like Liontown's Kathleen Valley and the Mt Holland project by Wesfarmers/SQM are adding significant volumes to an already saturated market, despite having no direct connection to China.
