At multi year lows. That's a very bearish sign. You want to see high volumes in rallies and high prices and low volume at low prices. People dumping is a bearish sign, or you could just outright say it is a bearish thing.

The small surge in selling is possibly in anticipation of the inevitable exits coming as a result of the upcoming rebalance, which makes sense. I have no idea what legitimate argument you could come up with for holding being a good idea right now - rebalance selling coming up on a stock with low liquidity, upcoming need for a cash burn CR, and at best a lot more bleeding while in hibernation before anything good happens.

I wonder how low the market cap needs to get before someone might actually be interested in buying AGY just for the permit to produce. Everyone knows what I think the company itself with current management is worth, but what is that permit worth to someone else? I don't expect to see a takeover, but the market cap is getting quite low.

We should see 2.1c soon. Not sure who is buying - probably mostly people throwing good money after bad.

Perhaps the rebalance will be the time when the remaining shorts will take their exit, which depending on the ratio of shorts to rebalance sellers (I'm not actually sure how many there will be), might see a short term increase in price. Looking forward to seeing how it goes.
