It could also be the fact that Chinese New Year was in January last year, as opposed to February this year. However, that doesn't explain the large fall in January 2024. It will be interesting to see how BYD's sales look in March. Either way, a significant sales decline for the world's largest EV producer is not a good omen.
Speaking of Tesla, guess how many cars they sold in January this year in South Korea? Just one, and South Korea have a population double the size of Australia (~52m).
