Well, in that case if people think that the lessons they have learnt are that the playing field is not even, the market is rigged, share prices are manipulated etc. etc., then it begs the question why they would continue to participate in such a situation where they believe the odds are stacked asymmetrically against them.

By way of analogy:

Someone loses money on a game of craps.
He/she concludes that the loss has arisen because the dice is loaded.
But then he/she continues to play the game against the odds.

PS. How many times have you heard successful investors blame rigged markets, share price manipulation, uneven playing fields, or incompetent regulators for their investing mistakes?

My new car got stolen. It is not the fault of the thief, it is completely my fault. I should know that new cars are a target for thieves. I should learn from my mistake and only drive an old car, or better yet only catch public transport.
