Keating developed entrepreneurship in Australia and became the "trickle down" sign of the times. His wife obvously despised his hypocrisy.
Having a few friends at UWA some years ago, I knew both Jodie Bond and the Peter Holmes a Court. The Bond's invented a prize at UWA for Jodie to win - pity -as she is a good person and went onto better things. Coruption was rampant and Keating was the joker.
Still remember the photo of Connell, Burke, Bond and Hawke in the middle of the Swan River doing deals.
