As Acorn points out, there is really no genuine national leadership to co-ordinate the states. Its been the way throughout this pandemic. Morrison has abdicated his responsibilities, as he does, maybe to avoid being held politically accountable, maybe because he doesn't see it as his 'thing' like not being able to hold a fire hose. For instance, he offloaded quarantine and aged care to the states which is where the most heat would likely be felt. He just tosses out bag-fulls of taxpayer funds while grandstanding about the Labor states. Its toxic. He couldn't even tell the media and his political underlings to back off when Victoria was in dire need of national support for their flagging morale. Then we have a media which interrogates the Labor states and doesn't hold the LNP states to account. If they aren't held to account they get lazy and standards slip. The Labor states have to perform at a higher level because they are under greater scrutiny.

Sorry that is bullshite the states have chosen to do their own thing despite the feds trying to have a uniform strategy. Our political system is very broken in this regard. Covid should be managed 100% by the feds as it is a national issue but the states have fat to much control
