now - I know you are strong on independents ----------- and I see the value in that.
But, what happens if there's the system we have now - but, every rep is independent
would 'groups' of independents not form - taking sides in arguments -----
if so - would that not be similar to having parties?
Now, if the argument is that parties have party policies and strict adherence to such and whips and things -
well, I understand that --------
but, if that is the case - and it's the case of that independents would group together anyway -
could we not perhaps - adjust parties ----------- like parties are bound in law to make members free to vote on issues and there is no such thing as whips etc.?
So - whilst I see the draw of ditching parties ---------------- I can't see how we could have independents and have things like 'policy' ------------ and if we don't have policies ------------ what can we actually vote on?
