It is ironic, that life long Liberal supports must realise that for their party to survive they need to get smashed at the next election.
They need to change the parties culture, to do so they need to get rid of the dead wood, the party wont dis-endorse them all, so the only other way is to vote them out, and a lot of them have a good margin of safety, hence the need for a very big swing.
