We should be able to expect a Federal ICAC and one that is non political but I doubt that it is possible given the mindset of much of the legal profession who believe they are above the law and politics when they are clearly not. ICAC in NSW and IBAC in Victoria have demonstrated that they have problems and the fact that there is no redress for people who have suffered adverse findings,people being denied the presumption of innocence and natural justice is not acceptable ,the timely resolution of cases is just as bad and has led to suicides.
