Abbott and Credlin sought to 'drain the swamp' but were attacked for it: Alan Jones
Sky News host Alan Jones Tony Abbott and Peta Credlin sought to drain Australia's swamp but were attacked by the media and those who created the swamp.
"Are our memories so poor that we don't remember the media haters who let loose when Peta Credlin was Chief of Staff to Tony Abbott?" he said.
"She demanded staff be vetted. She weeded out those who were not up to the job in terms of character and capacity.
"Credlin and Abbott cleaned up a lot of staff mess and made enemies for years. One of the people recently sacked, attacked Credlin endlessly.
"When Turnbull returned in 2015, many of the people she got rid of were rehired.
"It was the courageous and gifted Credlin who sought to drain the swamp but Credlin, remember, was attacked and those who created the swamp remain unscathed.
