Why is multiculturalism suddenly being promoted and defended by both parties? The obvious answer is, Houston we have a problem. The new problem Australia has,is unrelated to "culture" but much to do about Law and the potential future changes that a body of people could make if there is stealth by numbers. Labor Party know this unless they really are living under a rock somewhere, but are playing the race card by once again treating us like Turkeys.
