Liberal Party social media accounts turn pornographic

The photos were posted as a result of a hack. They’re still some of the only times women have featured on its page.

Followers of the Liberal Party national branch’s social media pages got a shock on Wednesday evening when a series of photos of nearly naked women were shared on its Instagram and Facebook stories.

The photos verge on pornographic, showing women with large breasts in transparent bikinis with captions on where to find “viral and weird photos online”.

It was just a few hours after Opposition Leader Sussan Ley put a fire under the Liberal Party’s old guard by raising the prospect of gender quotas in a speech to the National Press Club. Surely this isn’t what she meant!
