It is doubtful that Labor can any more ever again form Government without the support of the Hard - Left Greens even though the Greens are on the nose in significant factions of the ALP.
The Liberals on the other hand have a near - century old agreement with the Country/ National Party to be in Coalition and these two parties and though there are differences there is not the same divergence and rancour ( and there is certainly no standing agreement ) as exists between the ALP and the Hard -Left Neo - Marxist Greens.
The Greens are the odd - balls of Australian politics but the ALP, now divorced from its working class roots, is increasingly dependent on them.
The Greens are but a fringe - dwelling party of nation - haters, social misfits and complete whackos.
The ALP is heading the same way as the Greens too of course.
Each year the ALP's prospects of re-election grow slimmer and slimmer and without the Neo - Marxist ( fringe - dwelling nation - hating, whacko ) Green Party, the ALP looks more and more like it will never again gain Government.
