Yes, I do consider them to be much better. Not as good as I would like but I'm a pragmatist, its a democracy and like all good negotiations, no one gets everything they ask for. There is a chasm of difference between the two majors but the diversity and nature of the Qld electorate inevitably requires 'unacceptable' compromises. The LNP has gone beyond the pale, lured too far down the rabbit hole. You say Trumpian, I'd say a type of far rightwing tendency to undermine democratic institutions when you can no longer get your way politically without oppression and misinformation. That makes them a risk to our democracy and progress on AGW abatement.
I really hope Labor can work hard for regional Qld this term and give them more hope. Big parts of the country are being left behind by the cities.
