I agree that it would have been good to see a commitment in these areas, but they are also areas commitments should have been made long ago, but that is another topic.

But then you go onto oppose investing in schools because you claim this will not stimulate the economy yet should be spent on health, sorry you have lost all logic on that one

Construction and maintence of schools will stimulate the economy just as much as spending on hospitals will

and spending building public housing (on the basis public housing is supporting dole bludgers, some people should really climb down from their ivory towers occassionally) yet instead money should be spent on building prisons???????
