Labor are in a real dichotomy. They continually espouse their credentials as the Party for the 'workers" but they wish to destroy the jobs of thousands in the coal and electricity generating industry with associated multiplying effects throughout Australian industry.

They, and the pot smoking Greens, are religiously zealous idealists based on suspect and contradictory scientific modelling, much of which has been proven to be wildly inaccurate and overblown.

There fervour in pursuing the closure of coal mines is nothing less than a criminal political act against the interests of Australians.

They and the loop Greens need, if capable, to take a long hard look at themselves and the destructive path they are attempting to set the Australian economy on.

Thanks to government largesse, not the least of which were run by Labor's KRudd and Gillard, our national debt is becoming an increasing burden for future generations. To contemplate the destruction of base load power for our country and its industry (without adequate renewables already in place) is nothing short of madness.

Whatever Australia (and the World at large) does to reduce its pollution has always been meritorious. However, the facts remain that unless countries such as China, India and the USA curb their emissions from their combined (3,5billion approx.(and counting) ) population, Australia (23-24m) is just a pimple on the World's pollution register whatever one says about per capita stats.

    Please, common sense must prevail.
