Jones is a conservative who correctly points out that Liberals are on the nose around the country. What is debatable is the reasoning behind that. IMO its not because the Liberals have moved left as stated but rather because the voters in the middle ground are put off by the extreme views of some in their liberal ranks on a range of issues including climate change and impacts, vaccinations, and dealing with Covid19 in general. The lumpheads give the Liberals a bad name and middle of the road swing voters who decide elections are moving away from them. The ultra conservatives are never going to vote Labor so they don't determine election outcomes. Its the more moderate swing voters that Liberal or Labor need to win over. These voters don't want to be represented by the extremes of either side and at the moment those extremes are more visible on the Liberal side.

But don’t ‘moderate’ Australians oppose racism? If you tell people it’s time to end government sponsored racism as above people will support you but no one does. It’s the ultimate no brainer.
