The big issue is Australia has lost it's larrikin mongrel through persistent govt interference of personal liberties and diminished of purpose.
The previous cultural norms of "she'll be right" and "ava go" has been consigned to the bin in two generations. We are now constantly surveilled, work on a 7 day week cycle, have no hero/halo projects to fascinate the population, etc. We are just trudging along day in day out becoming more and more a conservative beige and compliant society.
We've imported millions of people from failed cultures and hoped they wouldn't adversely infect our society. Well guess what we've become one of those ordered societies we used to bag out.
