The undermining, and subsequent backstabbing by Turnbull, of a popular elected PM Tony Abbott, (with a 17 seat majority), was the start of the Liberal Party demise.
The result of this ... Turnbull only just scraped home in 2016 by 1 seat.
Turnbull set the scene for his own extinction, and subsequently the Liberal party death.
Mission accomplished ...
