i would strongly urge anyone with an interest in Australian politics to bone up on the rule book (the constitution) before making silly statement - especially those that point to "crack" and other similar views. The ALP only has support for supply (ie the budget and other important money bills) and confidence. The last one to have this was Menzies who governed with the support of independents until they crossed the floor and voted against him in a motion of confidence.
Any other piece of legilsation - from carbon taxes to gay marriage and anything else that appears to scare the horses - is up for grabs - anyone can put up legislation.
There are no cracks - the agreement is not under pressure and the Libs need to get with the new game or they will lose relevance
