finnet- as a political follower do some review of the LNP in Qld. The Nationals hold the majority of seats and they're held in the main by Long Term Bench Warmers[Horan etc]. Some of them are also ex Leaders who got turfed out. Main thing is that they[the Nationals] are a real block on the Liberals gaining City Seats.The National candidates are usually very Thick and can't get alternative policies together to win seats.
As soon as the LNP comes out with anything Progressive,they get diverted into the Day Light Saving Debate!!
Anyway,I say that the destruction of the Coalition will come out of Qld.All that's needed is for some 'viable' Independents to rise in National Party seats?and the Nats will lose them.
Example the Nationals can't even win Joh's old seat Kingaroy back from Ms Pratt ex One Nation.I think they've tried for 3 Elections and surely this is Nat Heartland.
Nth Qld seats especially will be lost by Nationals if any 'credible' Independent stands and we got a lot of known ex Local Gov't types on the sideline.
