We have used a Telstra 4GX service ( I think they call it their Air service) in the last week while some issues with ADSL2+ were resolved.
As an internet service it was excellent, speed test results gave us around 80MB down and around 35MB up. Was not great for VOIP as it would have drop outs from time to time, not enough to spoil internet activity but it would cut a VOIP call.
My business is located in Crows Nest (Sydney) which Telstra advise is one of the better places in Australia to use their 4GX service, but as an indicator to what the near (5-10 year) future may hold for wireless it was pretty impressive.
We did ask about a fibre connection as well, and even though it runs into a school about 250 metres from our office, to get it here was not possible and it would be another 3 years!
