amazing to think a politician like Carpenter can ban Uranium mining for political reasons. That stance has cost WA and Australia untold export cash, jobs and revenues. He has been slow to pick up on the slowdown. People are worried about their jobs in the mining industry and this opens up a whole new resource base and jobs. These are the same people who flap on about green house gases and do zip about it. Its nice to see change. I watched an interview with Rudd last night telling a reporter that he wanted to tax porche drivers so he could fix railway lines... what about the $20b surplus you have there Kev? Tell the working families why you don't spend that to fix the problems? Whats it for if its not for things like that?PERHAPS YOU COULD EXPLAIN TO PEOPLE WHY WE NEED NEW TAXES when we are already over taxed $20b pa? these people make me sick.
