It's astounding that an eminently sensible idea to build more dams in high rainfall areas to cater for a burgeoning population AND provide some flood mitigation, attracts derision from a few.
I guess it gives "rusted on" left-winger a whole new meaning. No need to throw out common sense altogether while you're waving the red flag and chanting Solidarity Forever [or is it Kambaya these days?] guys.
It's been amusing over the past decade there has been so much hand wringing over how to secure more water and power. Someone has now dared to suggest dams ..... what will Abbott suggest next? Power stations? Shock,horror.
