That is more likely the mindset on the ground out in the work force. Men get more support in the job arena when they have a wife and child to support. Women are far less encourage to work if they have young kids to bring up. However it there the high need situation where there hubbie is out of work then the women is often given a better deal. If hubby goes back to work then the sympathy is not as much there.

Women on their own rearing kids who can find decent companies to work for get a certain preference. Might be given more grudgingly than to a man in same position as single father.

There is a certain decency out there in the offices, so I've noticed. I have been a around a lot of them out contracting all over in 3 states. One gets a fair gist of what is going on.

Hopefully one day we will all grow up and be fair about it.
