Pity the thousands of Aboriginals who died after Europeans brought the flu here to which they had no immunity didn't know that eh Iwonder ?
One camp near where I live is recorded as having lost 90% of it's inhabitants due to the flu in only one week.
They all caught it because of there being no natural immunity to something they had never encountered before.
Just 10% survived, mostly young fitter people whose immune system recognized the invader in time to make a life saving response.
