Look at what Saddam did to the uprising in the South and the Kurds at the end of the first Gulf War. There was a no fly zone instituted there as well but the rebels had no chance. And that was immediately after a military disaster for the Iraqi army. It's all but over. I hope for the sake of the Lybyan people that the reprisals are not too vicious.
