I'm not surprised by people like Woods going from company to company after they are merged/sold etc. Very common to poach good people you have worked with and know to be reliable, honest hard workers. It's very common for management to move their team in mine sites when an Ops manager or higher moves to a new location.
I can only assume this is what has happened with him, assuming it's the same guy
