Given that prospectuses for TAH [b]and[/b] TTS included the requirement for the government to repay the licence fees if the licences were not extended upon expiry then I find it hard to believe that Brumby is in the right on this one.
Brumby & Co are just trying to shaft TAH & TTS as well as pretend to lefties that they are tough and won't hand over money that they are legally obliged to pay.
Brumby is a fool if he thinks TAH & TTS will roll over on this issue. In the end the Vic govt will [b]have[/b] to repay the licence fee, and if it proceeds through the courts then possibly TAH's & TTS's legally fees as well.
In the end Brumby will wind up with egg on his face as well as alienating shareholders in TAH & TTS.
I am also certain that, contrary to Brumby's claims, the govt's tax take from pokies will increase from 2012.
