Kind of depends on whether you want 'global' or 'regional' (e.g. asia etc). And of course, it's personal preference. For global L/S, my preferred funds (which I have used at various times) are Antipodes Global Fund, Platinum International Fund and PM Capital Global Companies Fund.
Long only is a bit more nuanced, as you have aspects like style biases (value, growth, neutral), plus strategies like low vol and ethical. And then, of course, you have hedged or unhedged. And of course regional funds. Personally, I use Magellan Global Fund and MFS Fully Hedged Global Equity Trust. But Arrowstreet Global Equity, Antipodes Global Long Only, MFS Global and IFP Global are all very good in my opinion.
