Westpac has performed remarkably over the last quarter. Its share price is catching up with ANZ. I have been making good money selling puts on Westpac over the last couple of months. I think those of us who stuck with Westpac when it was poorly shorted have been rewarded handsomely. Just beware that the ex-dividend date is right on the option expiration date of 19 May. This is when the price will drop around 60c and that will affect options strongly. Apart from this thing, WBC has held up so well in such a terrible market with the US market tumbling 6 weeks in a row into a bear market.
