You don't know what you don't know though, the journey will be longer and harder than you anticipate, so don't count on this as a replacement for work just yet, keep it as a hobby for the moment. You need 5years training/experience and proving your skills before evening considering that, but good time to throw yourself into learning if made redundant, whilst still looking for a proper job.
Maintaining capital is critical. Don't give that up lightly.
Stop Day Trading. Trade duration should be inversely proportional to your skills. If learning, trade medium term 3 - 18mth holds with nil or very conservative leverage (no cfd's). You can shorten duration and add risk as you build skills.
