Excellent response Simco.

People need reminding of the good times under the Howard/Costello tutelage, especially those who may have been 'work shy' in that period.

I can't understand why pollies think we would be interested in reading their memoirs so soon after their period in office. So I won't be rushing to read Costello's book either.

Whilst I am an admirer of Costello's period in office I do believe he allowed Howard too much latitude in setting budgetary policies eg the First Home Owner's Grant and the Baby Bonus.
