Hi Debono ... After Hawke, Keating there was no way that Crean, Beasley or Latham would ever get the numbers against Howard/Costello.

The Latham fiasco blindsided AUS in the 2004 Fed election and voters just ticked the boxes inadvertantly giving Howard the Senate ... that sealed the leadership issue for Howard.

Howard just went for broke ...

The western world has had enough of neo-con economic rationalism espoused by US 'think-tanks' which Bush/Blair/Howard championed as the new 'work/spend slavery model' with DEBT as the new slave-master, again just another world order enriching the next generation of oligarchs.

Rudd is a lightweight but cruised to an easy victory on a 'people/planet before profits' ticket which the electorate is demanding.

2010 will be a test of the electorate which could still turn on Rudd in the face of more modest economic landscape given folks are now totally addicted to rising equities/house prices and tax cuts.

    Cheers ... tight stops.

This is only my view ... read the black stuff.
