Kazan I don't think any Salesperson could say that about a lithium pack - if it only had 90% of its stated capacity at new there could be a very big problem with a number of the cells in that pack , that should instantly require action taken by the installer of which would be under warranty .
If there was no action taken, the pack could become more unstable and very very dangerous - so I would expect that manufacturers and installers would be monitoring there packs performance closely.
The argument really is about what happens over a decade and even Simons comments I find a little incongruous as it does come down to how many cycles, and if we move away from tesla , different versions of lithium ,such as lifepo4 which offer 2000 cycles -
