I do not know who told you that the western end of main pit is too high in silica to be mined.

There has been zero mention in the reports of the western end of main pit having silica being too high to mined.

Contrary to what someone has told you . . . the reports state considerable investment is being made to sure up the northern wall at the western end of main pit to access the high grade strike that runs for the full 2000 metre length of main pit.

The northern wall at the western end of main pit, since being increased to an 80 degree angle of repose, in a change of mine plan a couple of years ago to allow access to the high grade strike zone, is not as solid as the rest of the northern wall, so work is currently being done to firm up the wall with 20 metre long bolts, shotcrete, etc, so that the western end of main pit is safe to mine . . . which can be read in the reports.
