I lost a fortune on MUS last year (I was a top 20 shareholder), but because I limited what I invested to less than 5% of my savings I am OK and my wife has not thrown me out on the street. I knew MUS was risky, but I also knew that if it all went pear shaped I would be OK.
All investors make bad investments at one point, but if you put all your money into one stock then that one mistake will wipe you out - it is only a matter of time.
