You don’t have to pay for software. You can easily access end of day data on places like yahoo finance, IG Markets and even the ASX site. You need to type in your stock code and there will be the ability to generate a chart. On that chart you need to find the “indicators” tab or drop down box for “indicators” and if you want to follow Stage-2-Uptrend’s advice you can add a 200 simple moving average and that will then stay on the chart for you to visualise. In this day and age you really don’t have to pay for special software for access to End of Day data which most of you will only use if you are looking to invest.

A day trader may need more specific software which they may have to pay for but even then the bulk of intraday trading can be done without paying a cent.
