You might as well try enjoy it in the rapidly diminishing time you now have left, be it sitting lonely in front of your immaculate waterfront mansion, trapped in a gated community filled with nosey righteous neighbors, or floating around the Ocean for umpteenth time bored out your mind staring at the horizon. The stark reality is that you are just marking time, in the waiting room of your choice, for the inevitable decline and then eternal oblivion.

As a Boomer you will at least have the bonus of being remembered - As the most despised generation of hypocrites in the history of the species - because no other generation ever started with so much promise and hope (Hippies, Flower-power, Universal Equality, Free Education, Social Justice, etc) only to sell-out on every ideal so disgustingly (Greed-is-Good, turning housing into a private monopoly game, wealth accumulation an an obsessive hobby and conservative political lobbying to ensure no one else gets the same chance you had). All will remain to remember you by will be the gigantic pile you horded, resulting in years of family squabble and resentment of you by those who think they missed out.

But until then you might want to keep yourself out of the hospice as long as possible. One interesting things I've seen discussed on GenZ platforms is a growing trend of finding covert fun ways to torture the Karens & Kevins who wind up under their care in such places. Cruel, but a fitting kind of payback for plundered unaffordable the world they left them.
