BMN is in the Lift list. They lent on the top 400. There will be HC people hit. No idea how many shares involved, but the list of stocks is long so maybe not massive. I feel sorry for the people caught up. Why dont the receivers, instead of selling everything off without consultation, offer people the option of transferring their holding to another broker, if they can pay out the loan on the stock by other means. That way no one loses. That way people could, say, take out a short term overdraft, buy the stock as is, sell it, then go elsewhere and buy back in, pay it out with another, or just sell on their terms rather than the receivers.
Lift, like Opes, will soon pass, but will there be more? It seems that people moving to safer brokers tipped this one at least in part. Still, buying opportunity eh? Or a bit lower yet?
