Don't take note so much what economist said. 90% of the time, they like to give the pessimistic views. This kind of comment attracted more attention & it will stuck in some investors' sub-consciousness at some points. Past many years economists got most predictions wrong. Some shares went north totally in opposite of what they predicted. Guess what investors forgave them for that. What would happen if economists are so optimistic & the SP crashed after, investors would hold them responsible. This is why economists always wanted to say the negative things.
