"XPE is also working with another of Telink’s customers in the lighting market to provide a smart home lighting solution. Given Telink’s existing relationships with both GE Lighting and Philips Electronics, we believe it is likely to be one of these two companies. Both already sell connected lighting products, each with accompanying mobile phone apps. GE claims it’s connected lighting products communicate without a bridge (a device connecting the bulbs to a smart phone app using a WiFi-network). Philips’ Hue lighting products require a proprietary bridge. XPE’s ADRC technology can offer lighting companies broader, universal, connectivity to smart home solutions, such as thermostats and HVAC, security sensors as well as conditional access solutions (connected garage and front doors). The attraction for lighting companies is that XPE allows them to integrate their connected products with third party connected products, making them much more attractive for consumers given the ease of integration."
