Datang international owns the biggest lignite mine in China in inner mongolia( xilin guole league). Minable reserve 71.8 billion tons(up to 2006). xilin guole league is situated in middle-east of inner mongolia, its government is 180km from Beijing.
One thing is worth attention that inner mongolia is one of the driest provinces in China. The annual rainfall of 80% of inner mongolia is below 400mm. xilin guole league is one of the driest area in inner mongolia. WATER is the bottleneck for the whole region's growth. Actually lignite drying projects are quite popular in that region now. most of them are heat and squeeze, some of them not even squeeze. none of them can utilize the water content. All cheap stuffs.
