I'll back both up here and also agree with Tom.
The coldry process as we know it has evolved on many levels over the last few long years, yet it's still called the coldry process.Tom's thinking is on track when he says less brown waterlogged coal compared to a coldry burn will create less ash.Also the future process could involve partial coal washing to lighten the sulphur and ash quantities.Chemicals and other products could also be added to change the chemical makeup of the sulphur so I guess there are many doors to open for the coldry process.
When dealing with the world's best lignite (our MOU with Loy Yang)none of the extra costs are needed.These scenarios are dependant on costings in their geographical locations.

Water is the key byproduct that is obvioulsy turning heads in China.I'm a bit shocked this raising still has not concluded and will stay quiet until all is dusted.
