You make a statement "Federal government has indirectly endorsed the use of a COLDRY MIX with LIGNITE USE, OR Coal to Gas technology and gradual Retrofit of Boilers for 100 % use of coldry". Please furnish all with the supporting reference(s) to this.
A few weeks ago a the AGM, it was stated by Mike Davies that ECTLTD was not in a position to talk to either Victorian or Federal governments and were unlikely to do so until after the upcoming pilot plant was proven to be commercially viable. Reason " ... too many other operators have made un-kept promises ..." with similar coal drying "technologies". In the AGM address - PDF neither the Latrobe or government words are mentioned.
Furthermore ECTLTD did not even have enough cash to prepare a test burn sample + freight for Datang.
Yet furthermore we are yet to receive confirmation that the current shortfall has been filled.
As Rupert said recently some ideas are getting too far ahead of the current reality.
