JPMG: I see that we have had a total of 5 price sensitive announcments recently (none of which really add a great deal) and now see (with some surprise I might add) that Blackham and Wesfarmers (presumably the JV) are one of the finalists for the Prospect Award Explorer of the Year.
Quite inexplicably, Blackham's Oct 21st announcment came up in the Canadian Mining News, but I guess there is a fair bit of interest in lignite to electricty and liquids there.
I suspect that they must be working very hard with publicity indeed. If only they would sort out the website and scoping study.
I see in the US lignite (used for electricity generation) is worth about $10 ton and that over there much research is being done into clean generation from lignite. Perhaps Blk might yet manage to make us money. Heck, they have just over 3 mil in the bank, the market cap is barely more than that, and they have gold resources in addition to their lignite.
I see also from the annual report that Byran Dixon has some 770000 shares (the total for the board is 1,170,000) so he has some incentive to get the price up. More relevantly, he and the board have 317,500 of these 20 cent options that are due to expire end of November. I wonder whether they will exercise them. Perhaps with the slightly more positive week on the market this week and oil showing a (bit) of resilence around the $60 mark there is some cause for optimism.
Are you going to the AGM.
