    LHG for some reason beyond my comprehension, defies sentiment - when its supporters have lost all faith, it moves ahead.

    I truly believe that it will end up being taken over by one of the majors. My guess is AngloGold, who will use rands and neither US$ nor AUD$ to buy control.
